The Houston Renewable Energy did a phenomenal job hosting the Solar Tour this year! There was everything from Solar Attic Fans to a home with 140 Solar Panels that creates more energy than I use in a year! Even the Solar social at Discovery Green Park afterwards was awesome. The band rocked, Whole Foods had some great cake and Recycled plastic bags for everyone and there were some great people there.
I want to send a great big THANK YOU out to everyone who helped put it together and also to Land Tejas for adding Discovery at Spring Trails and Lakes of Williams Ranch to the tour to help show us how developers play a big role in a sustainable future.
If you missed it, below are some pictures that I took while on the tour. The shipping containers are sales offices for a new Condo Complex on Waugh Dr. I had the opportunity to speak with Joe Meppelink with Metalab while I was there and you can bet that I will have an interview with him posted in the near future. Amazing vision.
