Occasionally through this site I get some really amazing Media Requests. I get some newspapers, magazines, websites. All of them are different but have a single purpose. To get the word out on the benefits of going green and how to do it.
The most recent contact however was quite amazing. Planet Green, the new television station affiliated with Discovery Channel, is doing a shoot in Houston during most of December. The show is about Renovating homes (Renovation Nation) and they are looking for some good stories!
Are you a Homeowner in Houston doing a Green Remodel that would like to share your stories? Are you having a hard time deciding exactly what changes to make? The Host of the show, Steve Thomas, is looking for some fun projects.
I personally hope that we can help them find some great projects to shoot in Houston. This is a phenomenal way to get the word out that Going Green in your home is not hard to do and that there are tons of benefits in doing so. Not only that, but let’s show everyone that Houston IS a Green City!
So, if you are doing a Green Remodel in your home- And you are having the work done between the first 3 weeks of December- And you are interested in being part of this series- Let me know!
Please do not send any spam to the Producer.
You can contact me at Steph@TurningHoustonGreen.com
Or you can contact Kim Peeler- Producer “Renovation Nation”and she can give you the scoop!
greenhomes.nola@gmail.com
If you are not familiar with the show, here is a sneak peek that I found on YouTube. Oh, and let me know if you are on the show! I would love to hear about it!

I am thinking about a higher “R” value home. aluminum insulated panels comes to the front of the list.Timber framed instead conventional lumber. How do you feel about this set up. (KYSOR IS THE ONLY ONE SO FAR).Would you know of other companies that make this material for this purpose,Any help would be appreciated,

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the comment and question. This is one product that I am not currently familiar with but it sounds very interesting. I am going to pass along this information to both someone locally and some others in the Northern part of the country (I noticed your WA address.)
Will get back with you asap about it.
Good to be visiting your blog again, it has been months for me. Nicely this article that i’ve been waited for so long. I need this post to complete my assignment in the college, and it has same topic with your article. Thanks, great write about.
