Cork cells are comprised mostly of air. Libraries and museums love cork. Not that I quote “Bob Vila” much, but his website had this to say about cork: “Finished cork flooring can have the look of textured hardwood… the soft give of carpet, and the easy maintenance of vinyl….cork feels softer than hardwood and warm underfoot, making it an obvious alternative to carpet.

Your cork floor can be installed as glue down tiles or as a floating floor. The floating floor with interlocking tongue-and-groove edges is easier to install, and repair, and ready to walk on, thus making it a popular flooring choice.

Each month I pay bills for cable TV, internet connection, telephone land line, newspaper and cell phone. It is getting ridiculous as it is all a duplication of services which is basically costing as much as a mortgage in some cases. Of course, it is a bubble and I can't wait for the day where all is going to be made available in one single device. <a href=”http://claycrawford819.bravejournal.com”>Jessika Rupert Imagine the impact on the economy, when finally this will happen, yet it seems no one is preoccupied by it and that we will have to deal with the problem when it will knock at the door.

My dad has jaw cancer and he can not swallow food because his mouth is so sore. I would like it if you could send me some of your recipes for pureed foods. I have been making different soups and putting them through the blender using Chicken broth, potatoes, squash, carrots, parsley & a can of thick condensed soup to thicken and give more flavor. He's been doing pretty good with this but I am running out of ideas. If you could send me some ideas I would appreciate it. Thank-you very much.

No, I don't think it would be a bad idea to get the kids to unplug. I do agree that in today's world, we're saturated with technology. It's relaxing to put it down for a few days and get out and enjoy the world without having to check facebook or the latest tweets from your buddies. Having a young daughter, it's something that I will be doing when she's old enough to get into all of that.

Stephanie,

I certainly appreciate your efforts but how affordable is it for the average person? My house is in desperate need of a renovation and want to go green but feel that it will be beyond my means. Are there any reputable architects / remodelers that are reasonably priced?

The issue is much deeper than "disconnecting" them from their peers but really about our (as adults) connection with them! If you are interested in digging deeper, I highly recommend you read "Hold on to your kids. Why parents need to matter more than peers" by G. Neufeld and Gabor Mate. Eye-opening book!

I need to that I was obviously a little leary with all the different hype happening around solar. After checking out various programs and get options my husband and I made a decision to make the leap. We finished up getting solar without the need of money down and now we immediatly started saving cash the very first month is was installed. I must say that the benefits of solar are real and I am very happy that we decide to move forward with it.
